Our Annual Conferences significantly contribute to the professional development of our members and are therefore vitally important for European professional higher education. A EURASHE conference attracts a diversity of delegates – heads of institutions, higher education practitioners, policy-makers, academics and students – from the education community across Europe and beyond its borders. It is recognised as a communication platform for education experts and professionals and characterised by its innovative and refreshing approach. Each year, our conference theme explores a new issue relevant to Applied Higher Education.

Rising geopolitical challenges and global competition call for a greater focus on Europe’s economic competitiveness. Applied Universities are rooted in their territories, driving regional innovation through applied research, regionally relevant curricula, and smart specialisation strategies. Join us in Portalegre and be part of the discussion.
We are delighted to announce the EURASHE 33rd Annual Conference, which will take place on 22-23 May 2024 at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten, Austria. Every year, EURASHE gathers the Higher Education community to discuss and draft a shared path on relevant topics for the present and the future of education. Don't miss the chance to be a part of this event, save the date and join us!
Amid this background of rapid economic and technological change, the 32nd EURASHE Annual Conference is an opportunity for inspiration and co-creation of human capabilities for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The concept of sustainable development, which is fundamental for the European Union, is based on a large holistic approach to a whole range of interlinked global challenges. The Union, represented by the European Commission, has been instrumental in preparing Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, adopted by the United Nations in 2015.

The EAIE Barometer offers a comprehensive view of the health and vitality of internationalisation in European higher education amidst significant challenges and opportunities. During this webinar, Barometer authors Laura Rumbley and Jody Hoekstra-Selten will offer key takeaways from the report, as well as provide a more detailed look at the responses specifically from universities of applied sciences.
This is the second peer learning webinar organised by the EngageAll project (Inclusive Student Civic Engagement as a Pathway for Enhanced Skills & Competences in Professional Higher Education), funded under the Erasmus+ programme. During the session, the project team will present the newly-developed Framework to measure civic engagement in PHE institutions.
Join us to know how better to use your EURASHE membership, or why your institution should join. EURASHE members represent more than 500 Higher Education Institutions in Europe and beyond. Emerging technologies like virtual and augmented reality can provide extraordinary real-life learning opportunities, placing people into unique situations where it would normally be impossible – or too dangerous – for humans to go. Discover the latest findings from the research on using VR and AR in higher education, including best practices in designing and implementing such an environment on campus.
