Task Force on the Revision of the ESG

Active: January 2025 to December 2026

The EURASHE ESG Task Force is an in-house expert group established to support EURASHE’s contribution to the ongoing revision of the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESG). Following the mandate from the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) to the E4 group (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, European University Association, EURASHE, and European Students’ Union), the Task Force will provide input and critical reflection on the revision process through supporting and advising the secretariat and its representatives involved in the drafting process. It will help shape the principles, language, and proposals for the revised ESG by offering insights, suggestions, and feedback throughout the process.

Previous Task Forces

Task Force on Open Science

Active: February 2024 to June 2024

The Task Force aims to identify why Open Science practices are important for Applied Higher Education institutions (HEIs) and how Science can benefit from these Institutions’ involvement in Open Science. It will also identify Applied HEIs’ position in the research ecosystem and highlight the role of Open Science in facilitating cooperation between Applied Higher Education and Academically-focused Higher Education.

Task Force on the Future of the EHEA and EEA

Active: January 2024 to June 2024

A number of important upcoming EU initiatives in Higher Education policy require a solid group of experts that can deliver structured, organised, and relevant policy messages. This Task Force addresses topics pertaining to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Education Area (EEA), such as the European Commission’s Education package, Erasmus+ project calls, and the Bologna Follow-up Group.

task force on sustainable and attractive academic careers

Active: September 2023 to June 2024

The aim of this Task Force is to dive deep into the topic from the perspective of Applied Higher Education institutions, provide input to the European Commission, and participate in any related fora and events. The Task Force has also received endorsement by the EURASHE Board.
