Board
The EURASHE board is formed by representatives of EURASHE member institutions. A plural and committed team that keeps track of the EURASHE Strategy and Secretariat.
The board is formed by a President, two Vice-Presidents, and seven board members.
Hannes Raffaseder
President
Hannes Raffaseder is a Member of the Executive Board as Chief Research & Innovation Officer of St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and leading coordinator of E³UDRES², the Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions.
Nijolė Zinkevičienė
Vice-President
Nijole Zinkeviciene is currently working at Vilniaus kolegija/University of Applied Sciences, the largest and leading professional higher education institution in Lithuania in the position of the Vice-Rector for Research and Partnerships.
Jon Altuna
Vice-President
Academic Vice-Rector at Mondragon University since 2011. He worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Engineering of Mondragon University since 1997. He was appointed Academic Coordinator of the Faculty of Engineering in 2007, where he was involved in competence-based curriculum design and quality assurance.
Regis Debrulle
Treasurer
Regis Debrulle is the Treasurer of EURASHE. He is Head of Finances and ICT at University College Ghent (HoGent).
Claudia Kreipl
Board member
Claudia Kreipl is Vice President for Research and Transfer at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, Germany. As professor for economics, she teaches business management with a focus on corporate responsibility.
Liam Brown
Board member
Liam is the Vice President of Research, Development and Innovation at the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest. Since 2023, he represents the Technological Higher Education Association (THEA) at EURASHE.
Luis Loures
Board member
Luis Loures is a full professor and the President of the Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre. During his academic career he taught in several courses in different universities, mainly regarding the fields of landscape architecture, urban and environmental planning, circular economy, climate change, bio-based solutions, and sustainability. Since 2023, he represents the Portuguese Polytechnics Coordinating Council (CCISP) at EURASHE.
Pascale de Groote
Board member
Pascale De Groote represents the Flemish Council of University Colleges (VLHORA) at EURASHE. She is currently Vice-Chancellor at AP Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerpen. During more than ten years she was also the President of the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC).
Ulla Preeden
Board member
Ulla Preeden is the current Rector at the Tartu Health Care College. She is also representing the Estonian Rectors’ Conference of Universitites of Applied Sciences (RKRN) at EURASHE.
Valentin Năvrăpescu
Board member
Vice Rector at the University Politehnica of Bucharest since 2016, where he also teaches. During more than thirty years he has been working at UPB, where he was appointed as Vice Dean in 2008 and Dean of the Electrical Engineering Faculty in 2012. He is the President of ARACIS, the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education.
