Quality Assurance

Quality-assured, innovative and digital PHE

This thematic priority builds on our mission to strengthen the impact of innovative, high-quality, professional teaching and learning. This is rooted in EURASHE’s longstanding commitment to quality assurance, and status as a consultative member of the Bologna Follow Up Group.

EURASHE explores the following main elements linked to quality assurance:

  • The specific characteristics of quality assurance for Applied Higher Education: What makes Applied Higher Education programmes different from theoretically based courses and how their quality should be assured.
  • Quality assurance of institutions, linking their difference missions: Through the QA-FIT project and the Quality Assurance Community of Practice, we explore how the European Standards and Guidelines (ESGs) can be adapted to better reflect the integrated nature and impact of Applied Higher Education.
  • Move beyond quality assurance: We work to understand how Applied Higher Education institutions may benchmark their performance with peers regarding their contribution to employability, innovation, and socio-economic outcomes.

In addition, this thematic priority examines the impact of digitalisation on higher education and how Applied Higher Education institutions can adapt to deliver high quality online teaching and learning.
