On 4 April, the EURASHE delegation led by President Armando Pires visited the central campus of its member, the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania, to discuss the preparations for the EURASHE 32nd Annual Conference 'Skills For Europe'.

We are pleased to announce that Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) has become a full member of EURASHE.

Last month, the Portuguese Parliament approved the proposal of formally changing the designation of the so-called Polytechnic Institutes in Portugal to Portuguese Polytechnic Universities and granting that such institutions are entitled to issue PhDs autonomously.

The QA Lead project was designed to provide training & learning resources specifically tailored to supporting institutional leaders in their strategic role towards Quality Assurance.

The European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) has launched its Skills Community of Practice with a successful event held in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain on February 1st.

The ATHENA project aims to support the Higher Education sector in becoming more interconnected, innovative and inclusive. The project is funded by Erasmus + and will run for two and a half years.
