Skills for the Future

Skills and talent for the future

At EURASHE, we recognise the paramount importance of developing skills that empower students and staff, that resonate with employers, and contribute to the overall excellence of education and training in the context of Applied Higher Education. In the ever-evolving global reality, skills development is the linchpin for ensuring fair green and digital transitions in Europe. Applied Higher Education institutions play a relevant role in equipping several student generations to thrive in their careers and make meaningful contributions to society.

At the heart of our convictions, the EURASHE Skills Community of Practice gathers a poll of experts and relevant stakeholders including teachers, industry partners, policymakers, and others, to share best practices, fostering innovation, and continuously refine skill development strategies and positions. Together, we forge partnerships that bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that the skills imparted are relevant and in tune with the demands of the professional world.

Throughout the years EURASHE has been organising events dedicated to skills development. From thought-provoking conferences to hands-on workshops, our events provide a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Central to our commitment is the EURASHE statement on the European Year of Skills, which outlines our stance, principles, and the actions we advocate to support the EYS objectives. For a deeper understanding, we invite you to explore the full statement.
