EURASHE 32ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE

EURASHE is delighted with the last Annual Conference ‘ Skills for Europe’ results, held at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania. More than 160 participants from 28 countries joined us to discuss and draft a shared path on skills for higher education.

NEW EURASHE BOARD 2023-2025

After our last General Assembly on the 7th of June, we welcome the new EURASHE Board for the mandate 2023-2025. The Board will be led by President Hannes Raffaseder (St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences) and Vice-Presidents Nijolė Zinkevičienė (Vilniaus Kolegija) and Jon Altuna (Mondragon University). It will be completed by Claudia Kreipl (Hochschule Fulda), Ulla Preeden (Tartu Health Care College), Luis Loures (Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre), Valentin Navrapescu (University Politehnica of Bucharest), Liam Brown (Technological University of the Shannon), Pascale De Groote (Vlaamse Hogescholenraad) and Regis Debrulle (University College Ghent) as Treasurer.

We are delighted to be part of this project, which aims to drive European economic competitiveness and support the green and digital transition by promoting applied innovation and research (AIR) in vocational education and training (VET) for SMEs and industry.

The ATHENA project was presented at the Media for All Conference in Antwerp yesterday. The project aims to develop a set of recommendations on integrating Accessibility and Design For All into the Higher Education Curricula.

2nd EUROPEAN EDUCATION AND INNOVATION SUMMIT

EURASHE president Hannes Raffaseder participated in a panel discussion during the European Education and Innovation Summit, discussing how Higher Education and Innovation actors can join forces and foster collaborations.

EUROPEAN LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

John Edwards, EURASHE Secretary General, joined the 5th Edition of the European Leadership Academy Summer School for Female Leadership in Valencia and discussed the importance of global collaboration and the role of Women in Tech in creating an inclusive future.

30 EUAs selected for erasmus+ funding

30 European Universities alliances have been selected under the 2023 Erasmus+ call, further supporting the rollout of the European Universities initiative.

We congratulate EURASHE members and successful Universities Alliances coordinators, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and the Polytechnic of Leiria.

We are delighted to see other Applied Universities within the selected and re-selected alliances. We are looking forward to new collaborations.

Hellenic American University announces the 4th International Europe in Discourse Conference. This Conference, too, aims to explore Europe through all its dimensions, history, culture, geography and values. EURASHE welcomes the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland (AUS) as a new Full Member. AUS offers Bachelor and Master programmes of Science in Business Administration with several specialisations and short training in Swift coding as an Apple Authorised Training Centre.
