International Mobility Patterns of Researchers and Their Determinants

With the conversion of most industrialized countries to the knowledge economy, worries about the alleged brain drain of researchers to the United States are growing. We study the international mobility decisions and their determinants of a sample of foreign PhD holders who came to the US to obtain a PhD in economics.
