UASiMAP: MAPPING THE REGIONAL IMPACT OF UNIVERSITIES OF APPLIED SCIENCES
What is the regional impact of Universities of Applied Science? We often say it is within their DNA, but how do we fully understand and measure the regional vocation of UAS? This event will present a dedicated framework to just that, developed within a project called UASiMAP. Altogether ten UAS piloted the framework that was inspired by both the HEInnovate self-assessment tool and the Regional Innovation Impact Assessment (RIIA) methodology. One of the most important contribution a UAS can make is to its region’s Smart Specialisation Strategy, which will be explained by its ‘founding father’, Prof. Dominique Foray. A session with policy makers will explore how the results of UASiMAP can be integrated into national and European polices.
