EURASHE is delighted to welcome Pomeranian University in Słupsk  as a Full Member and University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) as Associate Member, a new category approved earlier this year.

Pomeranian University in Słupsk is a state school of higher education with an over 50-year long tradition. It was founded in 1969 as Teacher’s College, later transformed into Higher Pedagogical School, only to become modern, classical Pomeranian University, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes in a variety of fields. The University boasts highly qualified lecturing staff and well-equipped specialist and computer laboratories, as well as lecture halls. Its researchers carry out studies in 26 academic disciplines, encompassing such areas of investigation as the humanities, social sciences, engineering and technical sciences, exact and natural sciences, medical and health sciences, and art  sciences. Its research teams take part in a variety of national and international projects, either as dynamic leaders or as reliable partners.

The University is very active on an international arena, carrying out student and staff mobility programmes within the Erasmus+ programme, Norway/EEA Grants, and student exchange programmes within the framework of numerous bilateral agreements. They also offer double degree programmes for our international partners. The University takes part in prestigious international projects, including, for example, Erasmus+ funded CoVE (Centres of Vocational Excellence) and cooperation partnerships projects.

UIIN is an organisation supporting a community of higher education institutions to become the transformative drivers of change. UIIN is working toward a world in which academia can effectively collaborate with key societal stakeholders to solve global challenges and create impact.

UIIN advances the field through its own in-house research with and for its global community, sharing those insights and networking through various on- and offline events and published resources. UIIN enables ambitious organisations to become more innovative and better able to foster external collaborations through our training and facilitation of institutional change through its institutional programs and consulting services. Organisations can become members of the UIIN network to gain exclusive access to events, networking opportunities and resources like best practice case studies, toolkits, and more.

By becoming Members of EURASHE, UIIN and Pomeranian University enter the community to engage with networking opportunities and resources, gaining partners across Europe and abroad. We look forward to working closely with both institutions to promote the voice of applied higher education in Europe. Our warmest welcome!
