In a joint statement published today, EURASHE and 16 partners from across the European higher education sector have jointly welcomed the draft report on Erasmus+ published by the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education (CULT).

The draft report proposes €47.39 billion for Erasmus+ under the EU’s next long-term budget, which is a welcome increase on the Commission’s proposed €40.8 billion. We also welcome the proposed synergies with other EU programmes, including the co-funding of new scholarships in strategic educational fields and support for  European Universities Alliances through the European Competitiveness Fund.
