Its Annual Conference & Expo brings together thousands of higher education practitioners from 100+ countries across the world, making it the leading networking event for the sector.

During NAFSA 2026, EURASHE is partnering up with the European Association for International Education (EAIE) to deliver this session exploring anticipated priorities for international mobility, collaboration, and skills development within the Erasmus+ 2027-2034 programme.

As momentum builds toward the 2027–2034 Erasmus+ program, this session explores anticipated priorities for international mobility, collaboration, and skills development. Participants learn sector-wide perspectives and contribute their own ideas to help shape the future of this flagship European initiative.

 

Learning objectives

  • Explore the features and priorities of the 2027–2034 Erasmus+ program and gain insights into current priorities, likely changes, and future opportunities for internationalization and collaboration.
  • Develop deeper insight into skill-building and competence development through Erasmus+ mobility which places emphasis on how international mobility fosters skills relevant to the labor market and its evolving needs.
  • Reflect on the current implementation of the program and jointly identify areas for improvement in the next Erasmus+ edition, particularly in light of the program’s global reach, including North America.
