Brussels, Belgium

15:00 – 16:00 CET

Facilitated by the Lifelong Learning Platform, the LLLWeek 2024 aims to raise awareness on lifelong learning’s capacity to answer many challenges of modern societies and it has become a milestone in the European education agenda, thanks to the support of civil society actors and Members of the European Parliament.

This year marks the fourteenth edition of the LLLWeek, from 18-22 November 2024, held under the overarching theme of “21st century challenges for the teaching profession: a call for system change”.

The workshop “Applied Higher Education and VET: Challenges and opportunities in cooperation” explores the intersection of Applied Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET), addressing the challenges and opportunities for collaboration between these two sectors. Based on the findings of the Applied Innovation and Research in VET (AIRinVET) project, the session will highlight key insights into the current state of cooperation and findings. It will aim to present a roadmap and conclusions of the project focused on applied research and innovation in VET ecosystems.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the AIRinVET project’s framework and roadmap, reflect on the ecosystems in their respective countries, and share best practices. A networking session will allow for fostering collaboration between professionals, contributing to long-term partnerships and a deeper understanding of how applied research can benefit VET institutions.

The session is facilitated by Jakub Grodecki, EURASHE Policy & Project Manager.
