Danish Agency for International Education (IU)

The Danish Agency for International Education (formerly known as CIRIUS) is an authority within the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation responsible for the internationalisation of education and training in Denmark. The Agency has the following tasks: To help extend and strengthen internationalisation of education and training at all levels and to promote mobility, to handle the national administration of international education programmes for school education, vocational education and training, higher education and adult learning as well as the youth sector, to 4 make authoritative decisions in the field of assessment and recognition of foreign qualifications, to act as a national information centre in relation to internationalisation and recognition, to contribute to the development of international cooperation between educational institutions and in relation to trade and industry and to assist in launching new initiatives concerning the internationalisation of education and the development of competences in the global society.
