Project description
EngageAll aims to foster inclusive higher education by promoting civic engagement and extracurricular participation. It empowers students to develop critical skills such as leadership, problem-solving, and active citizenship through volunteering, community involvement, and targeted engagement activities.
By addressing barriers faced by underrepresented and disadvantaged students, EngageAll enhances inclusion and diversity while equipping participants with future-ready competences. Key innovations include tools to recognise competences gained through volunteering, a student ambassador programme connecting role models with disadvantaged youth, and a course validating civic participation. EngageAll positions higher education institutions as catalysts for democratic involvement and societal impact.
Goals
- Increase awareness and recognition of the significance of student engagement and civic participation in fostering the
acquisition of key competences among all PHE students. - Encourage and support greater engagement of underrepresented PHE students within their institution, student life, local community and in relation to broader societal issues.
- Develop strategies and tools PHE institutions can apply to encourage, incentivise and facilitate student engagement and civic participation.
