Today 24 June 2025, members the EURASHE Council met for the first time in Brussels to discuss the group’s role and strategy going forward.

 

The EURASHE Council brings together the Board and representatives of national associations members of EURASHE, as well as co-opted members and external experts. It provides advice and opinions to the Board and Secretariat for the execution of their functions, which mainly concerns policy developments at European and national levels, although the Council may also provide advice on operational and strategic issues.

The Council is composed of the elected members of the Board and the Chairpersons (or authorised representatives) of all national associations who are full members of the Association. Specifically, the following associations were represented at today’s meeting:

  • Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur (ARES)
  • Croatian Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences
  • Czech Association of Schools of Professional Higher Education (CASPHE)
  • Estonian Rectors’ Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences
  • Hungarian Rectors’ Conference
  • Portuguese Polytechnics Coordinating Council (CCISP)
  • Technological Higher Education Association (THEA)
  • Rectors’ Conference of Lithuanian University Colleges
  • Vlaamse Hogescholenraad

Council members discussed the role of this new body and its position with regards to the EURASHE Strategy in the years to come.
