On January 14th and 15th 2025, the international meeting of project partners of the LCAMP project took place in Celje, hosted by the Association of Slovene Higher Vocational Colleges (Skupnost VSŠ). The event was officially opened with welcoming speeches by Miha Zimšek, General Secretary of the Association, and Samo Seničar, Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Celje, who emphasized the importance of vocational education in addressing modern social and economic challenges.
The LCAMP project aims to support and empower regional centers of vocational excellence, enabling them to become more resilient, innovative, and better equipped for training and upskilling. The meeting in Celje focused on reviewing collected learning materials, databases of specialized courses, and micro-credentials related to Industry 4.0 qualifications. The goal is to create a comprehensive catalog of training programs to offer to businesses across different countries, thereby accelerating the digital and green transformation of individuals and companies.
The Association of Slovene Higher Vocational Colleges is committed to bringing more project meetings to Celje and fostering collaborations with local stakeholders and companies. Such projects are crucial for the development of Celje and the region, as they promote innovation and economic progress. The goals of the LCAMP project closely align with the strategic objectives of the Municipality of Celje, which include boosting economic activity, enhancing the city’s recognition as a tourist destination, increasing self-sufficiency, and ensuring a stimulating business environment. Participation in projects like LCAMP contributes to achieving these strategic goals by facilitating knowledge transfer, strengthening local capacities, and connecting with international partners.
The next meeting of LCAMP project partners will take place from May 13th to 15th, 2025, during the LCAMP Conference in Sweden, where partners will continue to collaborate on transforming vocational education across Europe.
