Membership

The European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) has an affiliation with more than 1200 higher education institutions.

Today EURASHE is represented in 47 countries in and outside of the European Higher Education Area (also known as ‘Bologna countries’), mostly by National Associations of (University) Colleges and Universities of Applied Sciences, but also through individual higher education institutions or other professional associations and stakeholder organizations active in the field of higher education.

About 800 higher education institutions are direct full members of EURASHE (either through the national associations representing professional higher education, or on an individual basis) and they are found in 32 of the ‘Bologna signatory countries’. Although we are traditionally and will remain an association of  ‘national associations’ there is a growing interest in direct representation on an institutional level.
