The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macao, China has opened two academic positions: one at the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Administration and Leadership, and one at the Faculty of Humanities, respectively Associate/Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
The selected applicant for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Administration and Leadership will provide academic leadership on teaching and research, as well as other activities including administration, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from other departments and develop relationships with communities. An understanding of Chinese culture and experience in dealing with stakeholders and partners is highly desirable. Applications are welcomed from individuals with an interest in all areas of social work.
The selected applicant for the position of Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities will provide academic leadership on teaching and research, as well as other activities including leading the Faculty councils and departments and liaising with other Deans and Officers. S/he should be able to organise new programmes, seminars and conferences and to contribute to an harmonious atmosphere in the Faculty, to contribute to the enhancement of teaching in general and to the good relationship with all other Academic Units and with other higher Education Institutions.
