This month EURASHE welcomes two new member organisations University for Digital Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry (DTMD) from Luxembourg and University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from Romania.
The DTMD University is an international network of university institutes, academic teaching practices, professors and medical specialists renowned throughout Europe as well as international professional associations. As a private university under Luxembourg law, it is operated and coordinated by a private Luxembourg body (www.dtmd.eu). The aim of DTMD is to offer postgraduate continuing education master courses in medicine and dentistry as well as special education and continuing education certificates for dental technicians. In addition, the DTMD University is intensively involved in the further training of nursing staff for mobile and stationary care.
The University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is the oldest and most prestigious engineering school in Romania, with a tradition of 200 years made possible by the efforts of some of the greatest Romanian professors, its specificity relies in creating knowledge through research and technological innovation, as well as through its implementation by means of education and professional training at a European level. UPB research activities are amongst the top priorities of the university with two of the newest and most important research hubs in the region – The Research Center for Advanced Materials, Products, and Processes – CAMPUS and the Research Center for Intelligent Products, Processes and Services – PRECIS.
Currently, EURASHE has 63 members which represent more than 650 higher education institutions around the world.
