Following the EHEA Ministerial Conference of 14-15 May 2015 in Yerevan (Armenia), a new period of development for the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) begins in the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG). In preparation of the upcoming Ministerial Conference in Paris in 2018, a number of working groups have been created and started their work in January 2016.
The overview of the working groups presented in the organisation chart shows that much attention is given to the implementation of Bologna-related tools. The aim of this focus is to create and consolidate a real European area of higher education, as some of the countries are lagging behind. The advisory group (AG1) on internationalisation deals with the dialogue and cooperation with other regions of the globe, such as with Asia.
As a consultative member of the BFUG, EURASHE participates in the Board meetings and the plenaries. In addition, EURASHE is member of the implementation group (WG2), the non-implementation group (AG3), the group on new goals (WG3) and the group on the diploma supplement (AG4).
