EURASHE is going to draft an overarching policy paper which will feed into the Bologna ministerial conference in March 2018. The key issues will be discussed within various bodies and structures including mid-October working groups and other events. The draft of the policy paper should be ready by the beginning of the next year for final comments and editing. In order to use the time efficiently, to obtain a more complex and representative input for the discussions and map the key issues important and relevant to Europe’s development of universities of applied sciences (UAS) and other providers of professional higher education (PHE) EURASHE decided to open a space for wider consultation.
We would highly appreciate should those with vested interest share with us their view on 2-4 most important issues addressing barriers, challenges, opportunities, drivers for further development of professionally oriented higher education and its role within the system with a short description/comment for policy. The final messages should address primarily the European Commission, governments and/or other stakeholders in order to make steps towards full release of the PHE potential and contribution to the society.
EURASHE is going to discuss the framework of the policy on October 12, therefore the contributions shared with us until October 8 would have the most effect, yet we would welcome any comments in the later stages, as well. You may also contact us by e-mail at email@example.com.
Thank you, we appreciate any input and will try to disseminate the outcomes with a wider community.
EURASHE Secretary General
