Data collection on the social dimension of the European Higher Education Area

PL4SD_logoAs part of the commitments taken by ministers of the European Higher Education Area in the 2012 Bucharest Communiqué to develop a system of voluntary peer learning and a pilot project to promote peer learning on the social dimension of higher education, we would like to invite you to participate and support the project Peer Learning Initiative for the Social Dimension (PL4SD) and to provide information on measures that your institutions undertake to improve the social dimension of higher education by completing the data collection questionnaire.

EURASHE is a member of the Social Dimension and Lifelong Learning Working Group (2012-2015) of the Bologna Process, which acts as an advisory body to the project.

In a first round of data collection that took place in the project until October 2013, ministries of EHEA countries provided information on measures taken at the national level to improve the social dimension of higher education. The aim of the second round of data collection is to allow rectors’ conferences, national associations of higher educatin institutions, national students’ unions, individual higher education institutions and other stakeholders in all 47 EHEA member countries to provide information on the most important and/or innovative existing measures for improving the social dimension provided by your institutions/member institutions, which could be of interest for other higher education systems.

EURASHE invites its members, professional higher education institutions and other higher education institutions to complete the PL4SD questionnaire by Friday 6 December 2013. Upon completion, forms can be submitted electronically by pushing the Submit-Button in the PDF form.
