Roosa Veijola

Roosa Veijola is a European Policy Advisor at University of Applied Sciences Students in Finland (SAMOK). SAMOK represents over 140 000 UAS students in Finland and is the only UAS specific organisation in the European Students’ Union ESU. 

Roosa has a background in Political Science and International Relations studies in the University of Turku. Along her studies, Roosa worked as a trainee at the EU Delegation to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and at Turku-Southwest Finland European Office in Brussels.

Dr. Themis Kaniklidou

Dr. Themis Kaniklidou is Associate Professor of Translation Studies at Hellenic American University. She is Associate Director of the PhD program in Applied Linguistics and Coordinator of the MA in Translation. Themis is the Director of Hellenic American College.  Themis has taught in Greek and US institutions and her research is focused on translation, communication and linguistics.

Thomas Berger

Thomas Berger has been head of the EU liaison office of the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) Fulda since 2016. Before he joined the university he had been managing director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research inter.reseaerch e.V. for 17 years. He still works part time for the Institute as director of mobility programmes and on-line academy. He has managed a regional Erasmus+ traineeships consortium since 2001 and the European Erasmus for young entrepreneurs consortium OPEN-EYE since 2009. He has been involved in numerous European research, education and innovation projects. Mr. Berger received his Diploma Degree in Applied Computer Science in 1999 from the UAS Fulda and his MBA Degree in Science and Education Management in 2011 from the Carl-von-Ossietzky University Oldenburg. Mariana Ivanova

Prof. Mariana Ivanova, Ph.D. Vice-Rector Educational activities and International cooperation at University of agribusiness and rural development – Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Experience in a number of projects on sustainable development with a particular accent on innovative training methods and tools and competence-based learning in sustainable agriculture and management.

Hannes Raffaseder

Hannes Raffaseder studied communication engineering and computer music in Vienna. For almost 20 years he has been working as a lecturer and researcher in the fields of audio and sound design, sound and music computing and sonic perception. He initialized and headed several research projects and has published scientific papers. The 2nd edition of his educational book “Audiodesign” was published by Carl-Hanser-Verlag in 2010. At St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences he has been professor for audio design, was Head of the master-course in Digital Mediatechnology and the ICM/T – Institute for CreativeMedia/Technologies (http://icmt.fhstp.ac.at) as well as chair of the academic board. Since 2014 Hannes is member of the management board. As an authorised signatory he is responsible for research, knowledgetransfer, internationalisation and development of study programmes. In addition to his academic career Hannes Raffaseder succeeds as composer and media artist.
