The Federation for European Education (FEDE) is organising a webinar entitled ‘Collaborating for Better Training: Shared Perspectives on Leadership in Vocational Education and Training (VET)’ on 18 March from 14:00 to 15:15 (Paris time)’. It will be held in French with simultaneous English interpretation.
This webinar is organised in the frame of the Educational Leadership Network Europe (ELNE) project on educational leadership in Europe. It is an Erasmus+ project that takes place from 2023 to 2027, with FEDE being one of the main partners of this consortium gathering 60 organisations from 25 European countries.
The ELNE is a committed community of education stakeholders working to enhance collaborative school leadership in Europe. It has the ultimate goal of improving the learning outcomes for students and is founded on the conviction that quality education is at the heart of social progress.
This event is part of the EFEE Education Month 2025 and explores how vocational training, situated at the intersection of education and business, can become a powerful driver for enhancing collaborative approaches. By combining the strengths of training institutions and businesses as learning environments, it aims to highlight the importance of shared leadership in addressing the current challenges of education and training.
General Objectives
- Explore different approaches to collaborative leadership, particularly in the context of vocational education and training, by giving a voice to various stakeholders in the education and training sector;
- Strengthen connections between stakeholders in the education sector and civil society organisations, including businesses, to promote collaborative approaches;
- Enhance participants’ understanding of collaborative leadership and inspire concrete initiatives to strengthen synergies;
- Foster innovation in the education sector by demonstrating how learning environments can contribute to the development of transversal, professional, and civic skills.
The key objective of this webinar is to deepen the understanding of collaborative leadership in the context of vocational training and to highlight its role as a crucial driver of personal development, professional success, and the advancement of citizenship skills. By bringing together the perspectives of various stakeholders, this event will explore how a collaborative approach can address the current needs of learners while fostering innovation and adaptability in a constantly evolving world.
This event aims to bring together several dozen participants, including academic leaders, school heads, and FEDE learners, as well as representatives from civil society organisations, particularly those involved in the ELNE project.
