Abstract | The aim of student engagement must be to bring about positive change to the student learning experience. This workshop examines student involvement in external evaluation and institutional follow-up and examines how we can support this involvement to improve quality. We will examine the building blocks of effective student engagement and how these relate to quality processes and evidence-based change. We will also examine why some students do not engage and how to change this. The workshop will present some useful models relating to student engagement, present case studies where students have used external evaluation for institutional change and provide time for participants to reflect on their own practices in relation to the materials presented. |
