Abstract
This session will address some current policy developments which originated from decisions at the Bologna ministerial conference in Bucharest 2012. The revision of the ESG is entering its final phase since the Steering Group submitted the draft initial proposal for the revised ESG to the BFUG meeting on 7/8 November. The highlights of the proposal and the current discussion shall be presented. The structural working group of the BFUG is discussing a proposal for a “European Accreditation Scheme for Joint Degrees” which shall be introduced briefly. In addition, the session will address other topics which are currently on the political agenda, such as the revision of national legislation in order to open up the market for foreign quality assurance agencies.
