Abstract | In 2015, 1.3 million people came to the EU to seek protection, more than twice as in 2014. This flow is unprecedented because of its concentration in a short period of time and its composition. Several initiatives under Erasmus+ have been launched to contribute to the inclusion of the many young people and students amongst the refugees wishing to continue their educational path. European education tools that offer support to countries, institutions and individuals in responding to the education needs of refugees will be presented together with an overview of European policy concerning provision of education for refugees. |
