Abstract
The International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) is a higher education institution that was developed and operates under the motto "From Theory to Practice". IBCM was founded in 2010 and in 2012, it obtained international accreditation by the German accreditation agency, Evaluationsagentur Baden- Wuerttemberg (EVALAG). It is a not-for-profit educational foundation, developed and operating under the auspices of SPARK, a dutch-based NGO.  IBCM offersinternationally accredited Academy Profession diplomas (AP, 2 years, 120 ECTS) and Bachelor degrees (3,5 years, 210 ECTS) in the following topics Marketing and Management (AP) or Bachelor’s degree in International Sales and Marketing (Bachelor), Public Administration (AP) or Bachelor’s degree in Public Service Management (Bachelor), Environmental and Agricultural Management (AP and Bachelor). IBCM education leads to double degrees with Lillebaelt Academy of Professional Higher Education (www.eal.dk) and the curriculum is developed in line with international (EU) standards. All programmes are delivered entirely in English and students have access to continuous academic and business English lessons and tutorials throughout their studies. In addition to the high quality programme content, IBCM offers first class facilities in newly constructed campuses, the opportunity for at least one practical internship integrated within their study programmes, and strong employmet prospects after graduation. IBCM currently have 260 students and 47 Bachelor graduates. 73.3% of overall alumni is employed in the private and NGO sector in Mitrovica region, about half of which have obtained employment through their internship companies.
