Abstract
The role of students in quality and educational management has developed significantly across Europe in recent years.  The revised European Standards and Guidelines will provide further focus on the role of students and places an emphasis on Student Centred Learning.  This session will introduce delegates to the work of sparqs (student participation quality Scotland), looking at the developments they have facilitated in Scotland that have supported the role of students in such activities.  We will explore some of the tools sparqs have introduced including training for student reps, the Student Engagement Framework for Scotland and Student Partnership Agreements.  We will explore what we mean by student partnerships and delegates will have the opportunity to consider their own practices in this area and identify how they might progress work that it’s of benefit to students and the institution.
