Jiří Nantl is Deputy Governor of the South Moravia Region in the Czech Republic. He previously served also as Deputy Minister of Education of the Czech Republic. Jiří is a recognized expert in educational, higher education and science policy, and was a principal architect of the Czech National Qualifications Framework. He has been elected as Deputy Chair of the Appeals Committee of EQAR (European Register of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education) and member of Board of Governors at several public universities in the Czech Republic, formerly also served at the OECD Educational Policy Commitee and as a member of the National Board for Qualifications of the Czech Republic. Beside his role as Director of CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology at Masaryk University since 2015, he has been Chairman of Alliance4Life (an association of Central and Eastern European research-intensive organizations in health research) since 2019.
