Ivan D’hondt is lecturer at RITCS|School of Arts. Since 1985 he teaches various aspects of Visual Culture and Contemporary Arts. His research focusses on the oldest history of Photography.
Currently he is responsible for Quality Assessment of RITCS|School of Arts and Secretary of the Board. In 2001 he operated as Dean of Faculty ad-interim for a period of 6 months.
From 1982 until 2001 he was researcher and producer at the Belgian Animated Film Centre. He curated various exhibitions in Belgium, France, Japan and the Netherlands on the history of Cinema and Visual Culture. In the meantime, he was editor of Plateau, the international quarterly on Animated film and Pré-cinema.
