14.00 – Welcome and Introduction
Introduction of EURASHE, Stefan Delplace, Secretary General of EURASHE (Belgium)
Introduction of the HAPHE project, Michal Karpíšek, Vice-President of EURASHE, Executive Officer of Czech Association of Schools of Professional Higher Education (CASPHE) (Czech Republic)
14.30 – Defining Professional Higher Education
Presentation of the research results and PHE definition, Anthony F. Camilleri, Senior Consultant at Knowledge Innovation Centre (KIC-Malta) (Malta)
Presentation of PHE characteristics, Raimund Hudak, Professor at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Mosbach (DHBW), CEO of Synesis GmbH (Germany)
15.00 – Discussion and debates
Collection of feedback and validation of results, facilitated by Richard Thorn, Emeritus President of Institute of Technology Sligo (Ireland)
17.30 – Cocktail reception
In the first phase of the HAPHE project, we have made an advanced research on the current state of PHE in Europe, through a desk research and a wide survey with more than 600 stakeholders involved. These results are presented in the publication Profile of Professional Higher Education in Europe.
Afterwards, an expert team has worked on a definition and a set of characteristics for PHE and has consulted various stakeholders throughout Europe.
This EU Validation Seminar will bring together main stakeholders in the field, and gather their input on the proposed definition and characteristics.
