The theme of our Conference – “University Colleges in the Bologna Progress:quality culture and applied research” focuses on our priority areas in the present context of change in the field of professional higher education. The Conference will be hosted by the Vilnius College in Higher Education, and will offer three main tracks: ‘Quality assurance on a European level’, ‘Applied Research in cooperation with industry and universities’, and ‘Intercultural competencies and their impact on the graduates’ employability’. Apart from a conference plenary session with keynote speakers on the three issues, the first two tracks will be further developed in interactive workshops with involvement of the main stakeholders, whereas the third track is already a run-up to the following working year.
The conference theme shows to our stakeholders and to the outside world both our determination to represent the full range of higher professional education in the European Higher Education Area and our commitment to inform our members and the whole sector of professional education of challenging developments in the Bologna Process. Professional Higher Education has a specific role to play in this process and Eurashe, as the official spokesperson of professional higher education institutions in the Bologna Follow-Up Group, has fully committed itself to carry out this task.
