Summary: Invitation:
All over the world universities are being called on not just to provide education and research that are fit for purpose in the 21st century but also to generate economic, social and cultural benefits for society. With this increase in the expectations of the role of universities, there are also significant financial pressures. How can we can honour our educational traditions and at the same time adapt for the future? Each university is having to respond to this wide-ranging agenda in a way which is appropriate to its history, context and future strategic ambitions. UIIN's programme of workshops will enable you to understand how the six characteristics of the entrepreneurial mindset can help you to meet these many challenges and deliver the types of change you would like to see within your own university. The programme is designed to meet the needs of people, at all levels in the organisation, who want to make a real difference in their university. The programme will provide the platform for an expanding network of Higher Education professionals who can support each other to deliver innovative change in teaching, research and university-business cooperation. You could become part of this global network. The 2015/16 programme consists of three workshops, each one held in a major European city (Copenhagen, London and Amsterdam) within a recognised region of innovation. The first workshop "Opportunity and Action" will be held in Copenhagen from 14-16 October 2015. In each of the three workshops there will be a diverse range of speakers; highly experienced men and women who will share their experiences, drawing on global research and practical case studies. They will present their ideas, facilitate group work and discussion, respond to questions and offer advice to our participants. Learn how to create opportunities, turn your ideas into action and deliver the changes needed within your own university. Full details about the workshops, the locations, fees (including early bird and group discounts) can be found at the programme website, where it is also possible to submit an online application to join the programme:
