Summary: in May 2015, the Conference of Ministers of Education on the future of the Bologna process took place in Yerevan, Armenia. On that occasion, EURASHE published a position paper listing recommendations for the future of Professional Higher Education. Following the ministerial conference, the Bologna Follow-Up Group adopted a restructured work plan for the period to the next ministerial conference in Paris in 2018. This programme is based on three pillars (reporting, implementation and new visions) and has many strategic and practical implications, not only at European level but also at national and institutional level. Two new BFUG working groups – “Fostering implementation of agreed key commitments” and “Policy development for new EHEA goals” – are mandated to organise various actions and events (e.g. peer learning/exchange events, pathfinder group, etc.) offering exchanges of good practice. Four Advisory Groups will focus on single targeted tasks: EHEA International co-operation; Support for the Belarus Roadmap; Dealing with non-implementation and Revision of the Diploma Supplement. National and European stakeholders will be involved in the activities in order to encourage greater exchange and implementation on the ground. Purpose and outcome of the workshop: The purpose of this workshop is to inform the participants on the future of the Bologna process and to discuss their involvement in the BFUG working programme at national and institutional level.
