Nuffic helps students, employees, policymakers, administrators and researchers in the higher education sector achieve their international ambitions. Nuffic works to promote international cooperation in higher education on a daily basis, with 190 employees in The Hague and another 35 at the various international NESO offices. These Netherlands Education Support Offices promote Dutch higher education and support international cooperation activities of education institutions and the Dutch business community. Our office in The Hague coordinates programmes such as Make it in the Netherlands! and Erasmus+. Make it in the Netherlands! is an initiative aimed at binding international talent to the Netherlands. Erasmus+ is a European Commission programme aimed at providing grants to exchange students and lecturers seeking to gain new knowledge abroad. Beyond this, we also assess and support the evaluation of international credentials and coordinate several Dutch development aid activities via NFP scholarships and the NICHE programme, while our information centre answers some 25,000 questions per year. Internationalisation is of inestimable value to the Netherlands. Efforts to help Dutch students and lecturers gain international experience and ensure the influx of international talent are crucial to the Netherlands’ position as a leading international knowledge economy. We enthusiastically apply all our knowledge and skills on a daily basis in support of this knowledge economy and its numerous contributors.
