Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University (KKSU) is a leading centre of education, science and culture in the Pre-Aral Sea region of Kazakhstan and one of the oldest one in the country with 75 year’s history of development. It is a multi-profile University which trains specialists for the southern part of Kazakhstan which strives for the development of science and education improving the quality of continuous professional education and training of highly qualified and competitive professionals. The teaching process at the University is provided by 30 doctors of sciences, 284 candidates of sciences, 122 masters of sciences for more than 10 905 bachelor students, and 329 master students. The KKSU joined the Bologna Process in 2005 signing the Magna Charta Universitatum at the University of Bologna, Italy and became a member of the European Association of Higher Education Institutions (EURASHE), Eurasia-Pacific Universities Network (UNINET) the same year. For exchange of students and staff and advanced technologies, improvement of educational programs in accordance with international standards the university has established partnership relations with 60 universities and colleges of near and far abroad. Broad and sustainable international contacts are actively used by KKSU for organizing and conducting international scientific conferences, seminars and round tables with participation of leading experts of foreign partner universities.
