Nijole Zinkeviciene is currently working at Vilniaus kolegija/University of Applied Sciences, the largest and leading professional higher education institution in Lithuania in the position of the Vice-Rector for Research and Partnerships. Previously, she was also actively involved in administration of professional higher education on the institutional level, for ten years holding the responsibilities of Vice-Rector for Studies and Research at Kauno kolegija/University of Applied Sciences, the second biggest professional higher education institution in Lithuania. She is well acquainted with different aspects of European professional higher education, as for many years she has been a member of the national Bologna expert group, a member of the Commission of International Studies at the Educational Exchanges Support Foundation of Lithuania, a member of the Higher Education Institutions’ Evaluation Committee at the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education, Lithuania. She has been attending different European educational events while serving as the head of the Research and Development Committee at the Directors Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences of Lithuania. In the recent years she got more engaged in the EURASHE research, development and innovation activities, having joined their RDI working group and the events of the UAS4EUROPE.
