Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas Viliunas is a Policy and Project Officer at EURASHE. He is a former Rector of Marijampoles College in Lithuania. He used to work in several universities in Lithuania, namely: Kaunas University of Technology, University of Management and Economics (ISM), Vytautas Magnus University where he held different academic, administrative and top management positions. From 2007 to 2011 he was elected as Vice-President of the European University Foundation Campus Europea. He delivered lectures of International Project Management for students of Vilnius University Business School (2010-2018). He was initiator and coordinator of several international projects and participant of Erasmus teacher exchanges. During 2016-2018 he represented Rectors’ Conference of Lithuanian University Colleges (LKDK) at the General Assembly of EURASHE. He also took part in the assessment and accreditation of several HEI in Armenia, Estonia and Romania (under EUA’s Institutional Evaluation Programme). Vaidotas research interests started from chemistry and gradually shifted to management areas like a project, process and change management. Recently, Vaidotas Viliūnas is interested in the developments in European Higher Education policy, focusing on the future of Professional Higher Education and its impact on the general societal and regional development.
