Carlos Ramos was born in São Paulo – Brazil in 1963. Currently he is Vice-President of the Polytechnic of Porto (IPP), in Portugal, since 2010. He is responsible for the areas of R&D, Innovation, and Internationalization. Previously, Carlos Ramos was Coordinator Professor at the Institute of Engineering of IPP, in the area of Informatics, and former Director of GECAD, a R&D center in the areas of Intelligent Engineering Systems. He has more than 250 papers in Scientific Conference Proceedings and more than 60 papers in Scientific Journals. He was responsible for more than 20 R&D projects, most of them involving international collaboration and consortia. He is advocate for greater institutional integration between the Internationalization and Mobility with the R&D and Innovation policies.
