Remus Pricopie

Remus Pricopie graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry and Physics, University of Bucharest (1995), continued his studies at the University of Liège, Belgium, in the area of International Relations and European Policies (1997) and at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration where he obtained a master degree in the field of Communication and Public Relations (1998). Between 2003 and 2004 Mr Pricopie followed the Advanced Studies in International Educational Policy at the George Washington University, USA and several other training courses in Austria and USA. Since 2005 he holds a PhD title in Political Science at the National University. Mr Pricopie started his academic career at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, being entitled in 2005 as Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations and since 2012 he was elected Rector. Remus Pricopie is member in various boards and committees like South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) or Foresight Commission of the Romanian Academy. His activity within the Romanian Ministry of National Education first began in February 1996, when he occupied the position of Expert at the Department of Higher Education and Research. One year later he became the Spokesperson of the ministry and followed through becoming the Senior Expert in the Department of Communication of the ministry. Later on, in 2001, he took on the chair of Secretary General of the ministry after which he was appointed Adviser to the Minister of Education and Deputy Minister – State Secretary for Higher Education, International Relations and Teacher Training. Recently he has returned to National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) as rector.
