Kai Mühleck studied political science, economics, and sociology at the Universities of Heidelberg (Germany) and Manchester (United Kingdom). In 2001 he graduated at the University of Heidelberg. 2001-08 he worked as researcher and lecturer at Humboldt-University of Berlin (Germany), since 2005 co-leading the German working group of the ISJP (International Social Justice Project). He received a doctorate in sociology at Humboldt-University in 2007. Since 2008 Kai Mühleck is senior researcher at the Hanover-based HIS-Institute for Research on Higher Education (Germany). At HIS he works for national as well as international projects, amongst others leading the project teams of EquNet and TRACKIT. Moreover he is responsible for the acquisition of international projects and the institute’s contact person for international research collaborations.
