Mladen Mauher, 1950., B.Sc in Economics from 1972, M.Sc. in Information Sciences from 1981, Ph.D. in Information Sciences from 1990. He started his professional career in information system design and implementation in chemical industry (1975-80.), continued in discrete computer modeling and simulations of transportation and economic systems (1980-84.), large public information system study and design (Integrated Transportation Systems, National Water Resources Management – 1985-87.), banking and insurance technology and management (1987-2000). He was Head of Croatian Government Office for Internetization (2000-03.), assisted corresponding Government Policy Design, and coordinated large e-Government projects. He was involved in study, design and co-ordination of national implementation programs (e-Health, e-Education, e-Court and Justice, e-Finance and treasury, e-Energy). He started consulting services to the City of Rijeka in its transition from Digital to Intelligent City (2005-12.). He was appointed as external professor of Electronic Business Systems (Polytechnics of Zagreb); external professor in Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Economics (MBA, Organization and management, Information Management, Economic Theory), Faculty of Mathematics (Project Planning and Management, Social Aspects of ICT), and Higher School of Applied Computing. He is the regular professor of higher education institution in the permanent title (Polytechnic of Zagreb) form November 2011. He published more than 80 scientific and referring papers, has a long list of international cooperation, and participated in professional activities (Co-founder and Member of Croatian Society for Simulation Modelling, member of Croatian Society of Operation Research, MIPRO International Convention – Member of International Program Committee, Chairman of Government/Local Governmenr/Public Services).
