PhD. María Ángeles Martín Prats is a senior lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering of the University of Seville since January 2009. She has also been a Researcher in the Electronic Technology Group TIC-109 of the University of Seville since 1996 and has managed the aeronautic research line inside the same group since 2003. Since October 2007 until December 2010 she has been Sub-Director and International Relations Coordinator of the School of Engineering of the University of Seville. Her works are fundamentally focused on avionics and electronic systems for aeronautic, aerospace and defense applications. She has taken part in more than 70 industrial and research projects. So far, she has been responsible of 32 aeronautic projects with technology transfer. She is the main founder of a Spin Off of University of Seville, Skylife Engineering, created in May 2011. The main activity is focused on the design and development of electronics systems applied to the aerospace industry. She was the Chair of the Spanish technical area IEEE Aerospace and Electronics Systems since June 2009 until 2013 and the Chair of the Spanish area WIE (Women In Engineering) of IEEE since January 2006 until July 2011. Since 2008 she has been the Coordinator of Pegasus European Aerospace Network of Excellence (www.pegasuseurope.org) of the School of Engineering of the University of Seville and a member of the Pegasus Board since April 2011. She is also the Vice-Dean of External Relations of the ETSI US since February 2015 and was a finalist of the GEDC Airbus Diversity award 2013. María Ángeles Martín Prats has also received the medal of the civil merit by the King Felipe VI on 19th June 2015 and she is in Top 10 leader in Spain in the category of Women in academia and research, 2014 and 2015 (http://www.lastop100.com/).
