Madelaine Leitsberger

Madelaine Leitsberger is currently a PhD student at the University of Winchester at the Centre for Animal Welfare. Her research interests concern all kind of animal ethics and welfare issues, with special areas of interest having been the ‘Disneyisation’ of zoos, as well as the objectification and anthropomorphism of animals in the media. Madelaine Leitsberger’s current research explores synergistic potentials between the utilitarian and the animal rights approach in order to advance animal protection.
