Nikitas Kastis has a First Honours Degree in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Financial Management and Project Evaluation from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He was Research Associate in NTUA, Lecturer for ‘Production Management and Control’ in the Greek Air Force Academy, Visiting Assistant Professor for ‘Natural Resources Economics’ and ‘Investment Decision Making’, in the Technical University of Crete, and Director of the Lambrakis Foundation until 2012. Presently Mr Kastis is the President of the Management Board at Hellenic Association for Education (HAEd), in charge of all its research and development activities, most of which deal with innovations in Education, using the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). He is also the President of MENON. He has been member of the ‘Advisory Committee for the introduction of IT in Schools’, acting on behalf of the Greek Ministry of Education and he is also an active member of the Executive Committee of the European Distance and E-Learning Network‖ (EDEN) chairing its Open Classroom‖ Working Group.
