Key specialisation – venture and business angel investment. Has successful background of working in Moscow city administration bodies. In business since 1992, and was founder of a number of commercial and non-profit-making organisations. As a private investor, invested in more than 15 innovative projects. In 2007 became chairman of the board of the National Association of Business Angels (NABA), a non-profit-making partnership. Since 2011 he has been Head of the Department of Strategic Development and Innovations at Rostec State Corporation. He graduated with distinction from the Tsiolkovsky Moscow Institute of Aviation Technology and the Academy of Social Sciences, studied at Columbia University (USA) and has a Candidate of Economic Sciences degree. He is the author of six books and more than 100 publications about innovation, lectures and holds practical classes in a number of higher education establishments, and is a professor at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. As a coach he has held more than 80 training seminars as part of the “Practice of developing small innovative businesses” joint programme run by RVC and the Russian regions.
