Ene Kadastik works in Estonian Ministry of Education and Research as Deputy Head of the Research Policy Department. She has been working on smart specialisation, structural funds and policy documents for research and development for more than 10 years.
She has been working as the Counsellor for Scientific Affairs in Permanent Representation of Estonia to the European Union 2011-2015.
Ene Kadastik holds a PhD degree in Applied Geology (2004). Her main study fields were paleoclimatology and sedimentology of glacial deposits.
Ene Kadastik is one of the authors of Estonian National Development Plan for Use of Estonian Oil-Shale for 2008-2015; Estonian National Strategy of Sustainable Development “Sustainable Estonia 2030” and Estonian Environmental Strategy 2030. She was one of the compilers of the publication “Estonian Research Infrastructures Roadmap (2010)”.
