Carol Hall is Director of Undergraduate Education in the School of Health Sciences at The University of Nottingham UK, which includes responsibility for the co-ordination of professional higher education study programmes in Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy and Sport Sciences. Carol has worked extensively with Nurse Educators nationally and across Europe as Chair of the Education Forum within the Royal College of Nursing UK and as Vice President of the Federation of European Nurse Educators FINE. She has contributed to quality assurance programmes in the Middle East and in a number of countries in Europe and the development of nursing education internationally in China and Sub Saharan Africa. Carol is a member of the Education Advisory Group for the nursing professional regulatory body within the UK (NMC). Carol is currently working within the EURASHE PHExcel project in a nursing partnership between FINE and The University of Nottingham. This project is aimed at testing the feasibility of a label for excellences in professional higher education.
